Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are conveniently located in client’s homes, daycares, and schools, as well as virtually in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, for children from infancy through adolescence.

  • Do you take my insurance?

No. Sara Azorsky Pediatric Therapy Services is a private pay practice. This means that I do not bill insurance companies. You are responsible for all charges at the time of each appointment, and I can provide a detailed receipt (Superbill) that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Sara Azorsky Pediatric Therapy Services cannot guarantee that services will be reimbursed by your insurance company.

  • What does a treatment session look like?

Therapy sessions are individualized, play-based, and relationship-centered. Speech therapy includes structured activities and play that encourage communication progress, while feeding therapy may involve exploring textures, practicing chewing and swallowing skills, and gradually introducing new foods. Parents and caregivers are valued partners throughout, with time built into each session—typically the last 5 minutes—to review progress, answer questions, and share practical strategies for supporting your child's development at home. Session length may be adjusted based on your child's individual needs.

  • Why should I consider education and training?

Education and training can be a powerful way to support your child's communication or feeding development. As a parent or caregiver, you spend the most time with your child during everyday moments—mealtimes, playtime, bath time, and bedtime—which are prime opportunities for learning and growth. Through personalized coaching, you'll gain practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to your child's unique needs and your family's routines, empowering you to confidently support your child's development throughout the day. This approach not only helps your child make meaningful progress in natural settings where skills are most needed, but also strengthens your connection and confidence as you learn to recognize and respond to your child's communication attempts or feeding cues. Whether you're looking to supplement therapy, address concerns early, or simply feel more equipped to support your child, parent coaching puts effective tools directly in your hands.

  • How long are treatment sessions?

Treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes in length, including 25 minutes of direct therapy and 5 minutes for transition, session review, and discussion of the home program. Depending on your child’s individual needs, longer sessions may be recommended.

  • Do you provide screenings to see if my child needs an evaluation?

Yes, I offer 15 minute screenings to identify children who may have communication or feeding difficulties, and would benefit from a comprehensive evaluation.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

Sara Azorsky Pediatric Therapy Services is a private-pay clinic. We accept cash, credit card, check, HSA, and FSA.
