Speech & Language Evaluation
Comprehensive speech and language assessments involve a careful evaluation of all areas of the child’s communication skills. Evaluations begin by discussing concerns, the child's developmental and medical history, and their current abilities and capabilities. After identifying strengths and areas for growth, a family-centered plan is created that is designed to support their development and help them reach their full communication potential.

Speech & Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy sessions are designed to support your child’s ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively. Each session is tailored to the child’s individual needs and developmental level, focusing on building specific skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Sessions often include a mix of structured activities and play-based learning that encourage meaningful progress.
Therapy may target a variety of areas, including: expressive language, receptive language, speech sound production and articulation, social language skills, fluency, and/or play skills.
Parents and caregivers are valued partners in the process, with time set aside to review the sessions, answer questions, and share practical strategies for supporting communication inside and outside the home. Treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes in length, including 25 minutes of direct therapy and 5 minutes for transition, session review, and discussion of the home program. Depending on your child’s individual needs, longer or shorter sessions may be recommended.

Screenings
Brief, informal meeting conducted to determine whether your child may benefit from a full evaluation or therapy services. During a screening, I will observe your child's communication skills—such as speech sounds, language understanding, vocabulary, and how they express themselves—and ask questions about your concerns and your child's development.

Feeding Evaluation
Feeding and mealtime assessments involve evaluation of oral-motor function, feeding challenges, and feeding skills with drinking and solid foods. Evaluations begin by discussing concerns, child’s history, and family’s mealtime dynamics. After identifying strengths and areas for growth, a family-centered plan is created that is designed to make mealtimes more successful and less stressful for your family, and help them reach their full feeding potential.

Feeding Therapy
Feeding therapy sessions are designed to support your child’s ability to safely and effectively develop the skills and confidence they need to eat a variety of foods safely and enjoyably, while making mealtimes a pleasant experience for the whole family. Each session is tailored to the child’s individual needs and capabilities, as well as the family’s goals, designed to build skills, reduce stress, and bring joy to mealtimes. During feeding therapy sessions, I use playful, gentle approaches to help children become more comfortable with food. This might include exploring different textures through touch and play, practicing oral motor skills like chewing and swallowing, gradually introducing new foods at the child's own pace, and creating positive mealtime experiences.
Therapy may target a variety of areas, including: picky eating, challenges chewing or swallowing, trouble transitioning to solids or other age-appropriate foods, challenges with cup or straw drinking and/or challenges with bottle feeding.
Parents and caregivers are valued partners in the process, with time set aside to review the sessions, answer questions, and share practical strategies for supporting feeding inside and outside the home. Treatment sessions are typically 45 minutes in length, including 35 minutes of direct therapy and 10 minutes for transition, session review, and discussion of the home program. Depending on a child’s individual needs, longer or shorter sessions may be recommended.

Each session is personalized to your specific concerns and goals. Lactation Counseling
At an initial visit, I will complete a thorough health history for mother and baby, perform a functional assessment of the baby’s mouth, and observe a feeding session. We will work together to create a personalized plan to support mother, baby, and your family on your breastfeeding journey. If needed, referrals to other supportive care providers will be offered.
Some breastfeeding consultations may be completed in a single visit, but ongoing support is often helpful. The duration of follow-up visits will vary depending on the complexity of the case and family’s individual needs.
60-90 minutes
Sessions are conducted in client’s homes, daycares, and schools, as well as virtually in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, for children from infancy through adolescence.
